We should boycott the movie theaters!
It may just be me, but I feel that a large
portion of the movie business is taking advantage of us,
the viewers and of course the payers. To me, it seems
that the quality of most movies out in the last 3 years
is poor. Don't get me wrong, the special effects are
sick, but the story lines are just copied from older
movies with little effort put into realism or depth of
characters. Why would they do this?
Well, it takes more time and money to create a movie
thats both visually stimulating as well as interesting
to watch, with good dialogue and an actual plot to
follow. The thing is, is that "they" know that
like me, we payers are trying to figure out where to
bring our girlfriends/partners and it you go on 10 dates
a month, you may run out of ideas. So i bring her along
because i lack imagination. I could imagine the parents
being dragged to the most popular movie out there having
the same problem. The point, if we
were to stop watching these movies that are clearly made
because they have this one special effect, or because we
recognize the book it was made from or any other
countless reasons then the movie makers may realize that
they have to up their quality. What I want to say is, if
we are more strict with our acceptance of movies, pay
more attention to the plot, etc., and we refuse to watch
these "oh it wasnt that bad" or "at least
the special effects were cool" movies then the
movie makers have to change. WHy? because we have all of
the power in our hands when we control our spending.
Money talks, and remember that EVERY big business out
there exists because of us little guys. Movie makers
make millions and billions $10 at a time.
